Like when I was in Cambodia.
I want to photograph the rituals in a community. I want to capture the portraits of the people I meet on the bus, the ones I get to talk with and learn from. I want you to see the faces that society ignores, and I want their names and their stories to go with each of those photographs. I want to tell narratives. Because everyone wants to be heard and everyone has a story.
Photographing life has been something I've loved doing for a few years now. It seems to just come naturally to me. I've always been about candids, anyways. But I've never invested in an expensive camera or been intentional about making this a career. Not for pay. Not for celebrity. But because this is what I love and believe am actually good at it. I'll work whatever job I have to in order for this dream to be a reality.
So there.
It's out now.
