I've resolved the fact that as long as I am in Cambodia, I will never be truly clean or my skin free from allergic reactions or bug bites. And that looking up pictures of rashes, bed bugs, ezcema and other skin reactions might as well become a regular routine. Sigh.
One of the things I've learned about myself here is that I can deal with a lot - sleeping while rats crawl around your stuff and in your room; sharing a bed with a person I had never met before; showering with dirty river water; dodgy outhouses that you have to walk through heaps of garbage to get to while men are weeing in corners (oh man, that's what happens when you hang out with English people everyday); the first few weeks of intense swelling from mossie bites; getting shat on the face by a bird; mediocre to really crappy food; profuse amounts of sweating - morning, noon and night; walking home in the thick of a storm; having nits lay eggs in your head for three weeks; etc. I don't know how long these rashes will continue to ravage me but alas, chances are, I'll deal with them too.
Now, who wants to come to Cam for a visit? :)

I do! I so miss you. Alas, as I boarded a plane yesterday, out for a new adventure, I thought in my heart how I longed for you to be on the other end of the journey. That, or right next to me. snapping photos from a plane window of the splendor that exists and is so often and arbitrarily ignored, I thought of you, and what life for you one the other side of the world stores yet. I love you my sister.
