Gross before picture.

Once a year, I get the urge to chop off all the hair that I had just spent the previous year growing out. This year was no different except that I had been really intentional in letting my hair stay long, even throughout all those hot months in Cambodia. But this was the first time I had done the whole bit myself and also the shortest I've ever gone.

Sabrina's new cut also inspired me to do something with my too easy "just let it hang down look". So I chopped off about six inches. It took me a long time because I had so much stinkin' hair... I also had to thin it out a lot because there was so much. (As you can see in the sink.) There were experimental stages and breaks here and there so my eyes wouldn't strain from looking at my hair.

I'm still getting used to it. All in all, I feel triumphant and satisfied.
